The Law Offices of Amelia L. Ramer is a law practice devoted solely to immigration.  I represent clients before the USCIS (the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, formerly known as The Immigration and Naturalization Service [INS] and later, the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services [BCIS]), providing assistance and guidance in matters relating to immigration and naturalization, visas, citizenship, asylum, employment, and deportation. 

Specifically, I have helped many individuals and employers obtain the following:

• Employment-based visas and “green cards,” including non-immigrant employment visas, H labor conditions applications, E and L visas; employment-based permanent residence and labor certification applications through the 2005 PERM program, and EB-1 and national-interest waivers.
• family-based visas including those for fiancés, spouses, widow(er)s and unmarried children under 21 of an American citizen, as well as parents of citizens who are 21 or older;
• citizenship and naturalization, and
• Asylum.

I know the law thoroughly in all these and other practice areas related to immigration.  The post-9/11 political and economic climate has not put an end to immigration.  On the contrary, my services as an immigration lawyer are more in demand than ever.

After a thorough examination of all the relevant facts related to your case, I will give you my best estimation as to whether your application will probably be approved or not.  We may decide together that your goals may need to be adjusted according to the circumstances.  For example, it might not be wise for you to apply for citizenship and call attention to yourself if you have a criminal record.  In that case, it might be more advantageous for you to remain on whatever visa status you are on.
