Virginia-Based Immigration Lawyer

The Law Offices of Amelia L. Ramer only handles immigration and naturalization cases. I represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), which is a government agency previously known as the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS). My representation includes providing guidance for matters relating to immigration and naturalization that range from, nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, to employment matters, asylum, removal/deportation defense, and naturalization/citizenship.

Specifically, I have helped individuals and employers with the following:

  • Employment-based visas and "green cards," including non-immigrant employment visas, H-1B visas, E, L, O, and P visas; employment-based permanent residence and labor certification applications through the PERM program, and EB-1 and national-interest waivers.
  • Family-based visas including those for immediate relatives including spouses, children and parents and in the preference categories, for; fiancés, spouses, children, and brothers and sisters;
  • Citizenship and naturalization
  • Asylum

including those for immediate relatives including spouses, children and parents and in the preference categories, for; fiancés, spouses, children, and brothers and sisters, attorney Amelia L. Ramer, for an in-depth initial consultation.

After an examination of all the relevant facts related to your situation, I will go over all of the possible options available to you and will explain the likelihood of your application being approved. We may decide your goals need to be adjusted according to your specific circumstances.

For instance, you may be an employer looking to hire a foreign national in H-1B nonimmigrant visa status or sponsor an employee for permanent employment through the PERM program. As the H-1B nonimmigrant visa may have reached the annual numerical quota/limit by the cap; or as the employment-based immigrant visas may have years-long waiting lists, we can determine if some other classification may permit you achieve the same goals.

To request an initial consultation in person or by phone on your immigration situation, contact me today.
